Christina Tam selected for Social, Economic, and Environmental Equity Colloquium

Christina Tam, student member of the UCLA Spatial Analysis Lab, was recently selected for participation in the Summer Colloquium for Social, Economic, and Environmental Equity at the Boston College School of Social Work.  Hosted by Professors David Takeuchi and Ruth McRoy, Christina will join a group of 10 social work doctoral students to present their dissertation ideas and to help create future ways of addressing inequalities around race, immigration, income, and the environment in society.  Christina's dissertation disaggregates Los Angeles County administrative data by ethnicity to capture the unique circumstances under which ethnic minority youth interface with the juvenile justice system.
